This year Today’s Homeowner is celebrating its 20th season on the air, and we’re taking a look back at some of our most popular episodes from the past.

Just like our 20 Years of Bath Renovations episode focused on bathroom updates over the years, this episode focuses on kitchen renovations. We’ve done more than a few over the years; actually about 66. In fact, our very first episode, way back in 1998, followed an extensive kitchen renovation.

If you’ve watched us for very long, you know that the way we approach projects has evolved over the years. In the early days, the camera crew tagged along with the guys from Danny’s construction company and documented the work they did in various people’s homes.

You got to see some pretty cool transformations, but it was really more of a contractor’s story than the homeowners’ story. So, now we work alongside homeowners to help them create their own transformations.

Danny Lipford Discussing Kitchen Plans with Homeowner

Danny going over plans for new kitchen countertops with homeowner.

Kitchens aren’t the only things that have been transformed though. As trends and styles have come and gone we’ve seen the kinds of projects people want change too. And believe it or not, one or both of us also look a little different after 20 years.
