Reusing Rubber Gloves — Before discarding used latex gloves, snip off any fingers that aren’t too badly damaged or dirty, and use them as slip-on fingertip protectors when spreading glue or smoothing caulk.
Paste Wax Pad – To apply an even, controlled amount of paste wax to wood furniture, try this trick: Cut a double-layer of cheesecloth to about 10 in. sq.
Then, place into the middle of the cheesecloth a dollop of paste wax about the size of a golf ball.
Gather up the edges of the cloth and secure together with a twist-tie or length of string.
Now rub the tied-up ball of wax against the wood’s surface in a circular motion to flatten it out into a pad.
Continue rubbing until the wax saturates the cloth.
Now use it to apply wax to any wood surface.
Best New Product
Wet/Dry Vacuums are a staple in garages and workshops. But they also get used in lots of other places so the fact that this new one from Ryobi is cordless makes it immediately attractive.
It offers corded performance with cordless convenience, moving 80 cubic feet of air per minute.
The no-tip wheel design and 360° mobility make it much easier to use wherever you are.
There’s on-board accessory storage for the crevice tool, floor nozzle and extension wands, plus a hose dock that neatly stores the hose when not in use.
And there are multiple carrying handles to simplify transport.
Best of all, it’s part of the Ryobi ONE+ family of over 100 products, so chances are you already have the batteries in your garage.
You can purchase this product at The Home Depot.
